Henry Purcell’s King Arthur

In the last several years, our Festival has presented a number of Purcell’s works, including Dido and Aeneas (2014), The Fairy Queen (2017) and The Tempest (2019). We hope you enjoy this performance of King Arthur, mounted by The Henry Purcell Society of Boston, Arcadia Players and Poet's Theatre'; it was recorded live on November 19, 2016 at Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston, MA. Our own Artistic Director, Ian Watson, conducts from the harpsichord.
